Note | Janet McCulloch, who was employed as a governess to her young cousins, the children of Edward McCulloch of Ardwall. While at Ardwall, she had the misfortune to become involved in a scandal, in 1750, with her cousin, Edward McCulloch of Auchengool, which led to court proceedings, which have been noticed in the account of the Auchengool family. |
