Note | Robert McCulloch bequeathed his fortune to his nephew, [this] Robert, on condition that he should build a mansion house on Kirkclaugh, and this was, apparently, carried out. He died unmarried but is recorded as having had an illegitimate son, Patrick, by Jean Gourley in Newtoun. |
